Targeting the 25- to 50-metre market segment, Australian yacht builder Echo Yachts has developed a new range of active-foiling Trimaran Sports Yachts that builds on the success of its 84-metre White Rabbit trimaran superyacht delivered earlier this year. The new line of yachts offers superior ride and comfort qualities with the added deck space normally associated with this multihull design. Photo: Echo Yachts
Together with the multihull specialists at One2Three Naval Architects, Echo Yachts is offering a new line with a 28-metre, 30-metre, 38-metre and a 40-metre model available. The proven design is said to deliver greater fuel efficiency, fewer emissions and improved seakeeping capabilities for a seasick-free experience. Both models provide luxurious accommodation for eight guests and eight crew members with helicopter landing capabilities.Photo: Echo Yachts
The two TSY38 and TSY40 models are the flagship units of the line and can reach 38 and 40 knots respectively thanks to their lightweight all-aluminium design. In addition, the TSY38 comes with a twin-engine -twin-screw propulsion package while the TSY40 can be fitted with a triple-engine triple-water jet option for increased performance. Photo: Echo Yachts
An active-foiling ride control system developed by Naiad Dynamics together with One2Three’s proven foiling multihull technology offers smooth cruising at high speeds whilst retaining a shallow draft of fewer than 1.6 metres for nearly unrestricted accessibility to shallow cruising grounds.
