ER Yacht Design’s ER 130 compact explorer

Canadian-based designer Ivan Erdevicki has revealed the ER Yacht Design studio’s latest concept to start off 2017. The ER 130 project is a modern expedition yacht with safety, comfort and usability it its heart, explains Erdevicki. Her steel hull and lightweight aluminium superstructure provides long range peace of mind to her captain and cruising comfort to her guests.

The size of the yacht too was well thought out by Erdevicki. “To my opinion, the bigger is not always better when considering expedition/explorer yacht," he explains. "The very large boats usually have issues with anchoring and mooring so they are automatically limited with visiting some exciting cruising grounds.” The ER 130, like other yachts in her size range, allows owners to comfortably explore areas such as the Bahamas, enter shallower ports, and even venture upstream into certain rivers around the world.

The project is designed to be completed with a variety of new-age propulsion and power systems that will make voyages onboard eco-friendlier. ER Yacht Design’s proposed interior is light and free of cluttered areas to present guests with an enjoyable homely space from which they can appreciate the great outdoor scenery from.
