Griffin Marine Travel and its Griffin Yacht division have announced that Etihad Airways will be the airline sponsor of the Griffin Yacht Club at Monaco Yacht Show 2011.
“Having Etihad on board is a great boost to the brand of the Griffin Yacht Club,” says Pieter Rieder, Griffin’s SVP Commercial Development, adding, “Not unlike the superyacht industry, Etihad Airways prides itself in being inspiring its customers with attention to detail. As a truly global company, Etihad is in a perfect position to help get yacht crew to their destination, wherever that happens to be.” Etihad and has also donated two Business Class tickets as a contest prize.
Griffin is hosting superyacht Captains and Crew in an exclusive lounge environment directly outside the Monaco Yacht Show in the famed restaurant Le Saint Benoit five floors above the harbour.
Strictly for actively serving yacht crew, the Griffin Yacht Club will be open daily during the show and will offer complimentary breakfast and lunch along with an open bar just steps from the Designers Gallery and opposite the Chicane Entrance to the show.
With 35 flights per week from the UK to Abu Dhabi and over 72 destinations worldwide, Etihad Airways is known as the world’s fastest growing airline. The 2009/2010 World Travel Awards named Etihad as “the World’s Leading Airline.”
