In the early hours of Sunday, the 36.6-metre Tecnomar Evo 120 caught fire at the Italian Sea Group, builder of the Tecnomar yachts in Marina di Carrara, Italy. According to reports in the Italian media the yacht caught fire at 01:00 and no casualties have been reported.
When the fire broke out only the captain was on board, who managed to safely leave the vessel and was soon joined on site by the fire service from Massa and Carrara, police and the coast guard. As seen in various images on the internet, the yacht has partly sunk and has been heavily damaged by the fire.

The recently launched yacht was the second Tecnomar Evo 120, following the launch of La Vie (previously Chao Yono) last year.
