Evo Yachts have announced the launch of their flagship yacht, the 24-metre Evo V8, at the Torre Annunziata Marina near Naples, last week. Previously known as the Velar 78 concept, the Evo V8 has been constructed for an Italian owner and will debut at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival. With a refined and minimalist design and naval architecture from her builder, Evo Yachts, the Evo V8 features interior and exterior styling by Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design. The yacht is designed to incorporate distinctive features found on both motor and sailing yachts, and offers a revolutionary experience from the two worlds. For example, she comes with a yacht wheel to give her the feel of a sailing yacht, but also a joystick for easy maneuvering, like most motor yachts.
Production Manager at Evo Yachts, Paolo D’Orazio, commented, “During these hectic months, the shipyard’s team have worked on this ambitious project with dedication, passion and commitment.” For the shipyard, “The launch is also a point of departure towards new increasingly ambitious and innovative projects.”
Evo V8 comes equipped with an exterior beach club, raised just 70cm above the water level to allow easy access to the sea. Her hull sides can be opened to enjoy 180 degree views from the yacht. To the fore she features an outdoor lounge which can be used as a daytime patio or private living area for the owners.
