It is no secret that the budgets of captains and management companies are affected by unpredictable costs such as varying port fees and inconsistent agency rates. It is high time that a standard pricing model was established and those at Evolution Yachting have wasted no time in being the first yacht agency to make it happen. Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesCustomers of Evolution Yachting will now be served and charged according to the agency’s new unique pricing model. Having devised three tiers with prices according to the geographical region, Evolution Yachting’s clear plan includes set pre-arrival fees and agency fees priced per the hour. A superyacht looking to make the most of the recently reopened cruising grounds such as the Balearic Islands, South of France and Sardinia, will now be charged the same price for each of these destinations through Evolution Yachting’s new model. By helping to facilitate budgeting for yacht operations, company CCO, Caterina Oliviero, explains that “This system will give the yacht’s team complete peace of mind in knowing that they can cruise in nine different countries with us with the same method of charging.”Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesEvolution Yachting conducted an extensive research survey which proved that hundreds of captains, charter brokers and management companies have been calling for transparency in port and agency costs in a clear and easy-to-use format. As the company CEO, Stefano Tositti, explains, Evolution Yachting was not afraid to respond, disrupt the norm and drive forward the well-sought-after change: “We listened to what our clients were telling us and have taken the yacht agency to another level: we are one company, one price structure, one point of remittance and one billing format. No other group operating in the Mediterranean has ever created a unique pricing model.”Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesAlready a well-established agency, Evolution Yachting operates from their 20 offices across nine countries throughout the Mediterranean. Tositti continues: “We have a duty of care to our clients and want to drive forward the very necessary changes that clients have spent years asking for. Covid-19 has changed the landscape of business and so this issue even more important as owners are even keener to understand what money they are spending and why.
“Transparency for our clients and the industry is key and is part of Evolution Yachting’s philosophy and core values as a company. We are disrupting the market, something that we said we would do from the outset. At the end of the day, it all comes down to transparency, budgeting and accountability.” Photo: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesTo find out more about Evolution Yachting’s services and nine locations within the Mediterranean, contact the company directly via the information found below:
