A unique yacht with a reverse bow was launched today at Feadship De Vries in Aalsmeer. The 72m Predator, De Vries hull 674, is a creation of De Voogt Naval Architcts with an interior by Bannenberg Designs.
Because of her high draft, she was launched on a floating dock, which will be removed in Rotterdam later this week. In Rotterdam she will have her screws, rudders and stabilizer fins fitted.
Even though she may appear to be grey on our photos, she does in fact have a blue hull underneath the protective coat from Awlgrip (more info). Her maximum speed is still unknown, but she promises to be a very fast yacht with her 4 MTU 16V 595 TE 90 diesels with a total power of 23.172 HP.
Predator will soon leave the shipyard in Aalsmeer.
