Heesen Yachts has reported on the delivery of the 50 metre superyacht Ann G. The yacht was handed over to her owner during a private event held in Rotterdam. Ann G is designed by Clifford Denn with Reymond Langton who created her interior spaces. Heesen's in-house team was in charge of the engineering and naval architecture of the vessel.
Clifford Denn had the following to say about the yacht, “It's great to finally see this yacht come to life. We started 5 years ago with the first sketches on a roll of a tracing paper in Antibes. This project has evolved from those original drawings and I am very pleased with the final result.”
“The horizontal lines and their flowing forms break down the height and visually give the impression of a bigger yacht. The curved shapes reflecting the sun from any angle are a conscious decision of which I'm very proud. Heesen’s in-house expert welders have done an incredible job in crafting such a curvaceous superstructure respecting my design.”
“The reverse windows of the wheelhouse allowed us to extend the roof quite far forward therefore you can have a big white hat and then have a proper sun deck which can stretch far forward without compromising the style."
“It's also very important to remember that this 50m is below 500Gt. So we lifted up the wheel house and hid the tender in the bow so that the aft lazarette can be dedicated to create a wonderful beach club for guests to enjoy life at sea.”
