Exclusive: Sneak preview of the first Amels 212 Limited Editions superyacht

Last Saturday the first Limited Editions Amels 212 made a sneak preview while she shifted from one dock to another at the Amels Shipyard in Vlissingen. Hull number 6501 was sold at the end of 2007 and last month Amels and Ocean Independence announced the sale of the second Amels 212, hull number 6502.

The Limited Editions Amels 212 was conceived as a “high-volume 65-metre” with an unusual seven-stateroom layout found only on larger superyachts. Designed by Tim Heywood over an efficient, seaworthy hull with Amels naval architecture and engineering, the Amels 212 will have a classic interior with original styling by Andrew Winch Design.

The Limited Editions premise is to offer clients a semi-custom design that provides room for personalization, yet allows owners to enter the project and take delivery in much less time than a fully custom-built superyacht. Including the first and second Limited Editions Amels 212s, Amels now has 11 projects in various stages of construction.
