54m expedition yacht Itasca in Athens

Itasca yacht in Zea Piraeus Photo: STRIKE7Earlier this month, the 53.6-metre expedition yacht Itasca was seen cruising near Piraeus, southeast of Athens, Greece. Originally built in 1961 by J. & K. Smits Scheepswerven N.V. under the name Caribische Zee, Itasca was designed by the same company, starting as an ocean tug before being transformed into a luxury superyacht in 1981. This overhaul enhanced both her interior and exterior, while maintaining superior maritime capabilities, such as a cruising range of over 16,000 nautical miles and features like a helicopter pad. Recently refitted in Perama, the motor yacht accommodates up to 10 guests plus a crew of 12 in a luxurious yet welcoming interior, suitable for both relaxation and entertainment.
