Explorer superyacht Akula in Genoa
The 59 metre explorer superyacht Akula was originally built by Amels in 1974 as a pilot vessel and converted into an explorer yacht by Vosper Thornycorft in 1999. Akula was refitted to accommodate professional helicopter operations and to be able to cruise the world in style, safety and comfort. She underwent an interior and exterior refit in 2008 and in 2010 her engines were overhauled.
