Currently discovering the Mediterranean Sea on her maiden season after being delivered in May this year, the X-Bow explorer yacht Olivia O by Ulstein has been causing a stir around several yachting hotspots with her avant-garde design. This video captures the yacht at anchor off St Tropez where she was spotted just last week.
Built on an Ulstein offshore platform in Norway to a design and general arrangement by Espen Øino, Olivia O’s unique X-Bow hull shape was developed for use in unforgiving North Sea conditions. With a massive internal volume of 4,898 GT, she features a nearly fully-enclosed upper deck with full-height windows, a midships tender garage on the main deck, open pool area at the stern and a certified helipad. The wrap-around glass bridge is one of her most standout features that gives Olivia O its unique shape. Photo: Carlo Demicheli / @boatfromtheworld
The project was completed at Palumbo in Malta after Ulstein delivered the technically completed hull and superstructure to her owner in 2018. The oriental-inspired interior can sleep up to 20 guests in eight cabins and is characterised by exceptional deckhead heights of up to 2.7 metres.
