Located in the beautiful centre of Castellammare di Stabia in Naples, Italy, Stabia Main Port is the summer destination of choice for superyachts all around the world. The recent stay of the 78-metre superyacht Montkaj, the 95-metre Indian Empress and the long stay of the 80-metre yacht Stargate are just a few of the prestigious guests that have characterized the summer of 2017 at Stabia Main Port, which has been working since April to transform the Italian city of Castellammare di Stabia into a superyacht hotspot comparable to Montecarlo.

"The arrival of the 95-metre superyacht Faith has been really emotional", states Raffaele Esposito, president of Stabia Main Port. He continues, "this is a new jewel of the Feadship yard which has accompanied us since our opening in 2015 with the 101-metre Symphony. This is all thanks to the Luise Maritime Agency, a recognized leader in the yachting world for a number of units and prestigious guests served, whom they have been taking care of for over 170 years".
One factor which has contributed to the harbour's success from a technical point of view is the large entrance of the ancient Borbonic Basin which allows yachts ample room for manoeuvre. In addition, although the Stabia Main Port has a city-centre location it also offers guaranteed privacy provided by large internal walking areas with 24/7 security services 24/7. Its close proximity to the historical and beautiful attractions of Pompei, Sorrento and Capri certainly helps to make it a sought-after port around the world.
"The aim was to create a port with fully functional areas,' "continues Esposito, "creating synergy with other operators of the port, from the lounge bar to the parking area. So, the port is seen as a guarded village outside the city, but only a few steps away, with its own services".
As soon as one approaches the harbour by the sea, a gorgeous welcome is offered by the vision of the mountains, a medieval castle and colourful buildings, among which the purple-red coloured headquarters of the Harbor Master stands out.
Meanwhile, the summer season continues in the Gulf of Naples and, aided by the itineraries and services of the Luise Group, the Campania region has been enriched with prestigious guests, tourists accustomed to luxury and the ultimate comfort, and chartered and owned yachts cruising between Capri, Naples, Castellammare di Stabia and the Amalfi Coast.

"Figures increase every year," explains Francesco Luise, manager of the Luise Group, "we have been committed to achieving the maximum as a family business for over 170 years and our 22 offices in the main ports of Italy offer a very high standard for concierge and reception services. We give the most that we possibly can for both smaller yachts and gigayachts, because the customer's needs are always the priority, beyond the size of the yacht. And of course, we invest every day in territorial marketing involving operators, service companies, restaurateurs, hoteliers: a selected team of professionals present in the most important tourist sites in Italy and the main cruising areas of these beautiful yachts".
As for the 2018 season at the Stabia Main Port, it is already well underway. In fact, the 65-metre sailing yacht Spirit of the C's is currently located at the Stabia Main Port for the winter with a berth alongside her.
