Exuma joins the Singapore Yacht Show line up

Organisers of the Singapore Yacht Show (SYS) have announced that not one, but two award-winning superyachts have confirmed that they will be joining an already impressive line up of yachts on display. 67m S/Y Vertigo will be jointly presented by first-time exhibitors Alloy Yachts in collaboration with Y.Co, while Picchiotti-built 50m M/Y Exuma is being presented by Perini Navi, and Fraser Yachts who represent her for charter. Interestingly, while each yacht represents a pinnacle in their respective power and sailing worlds, both carry the creative DNA of fellow exhibitor and renowned naval architect, Philippe Briand. They join other confirmed yachts including 60m M/Y Cloud 9, built by CMN and presented by long-time exhibitor Burgess.

50m Exuma was the first yacht in Perini Navi’s popular and innovative Picchiotti Vitruvius motoryacht line. Since her launch in 2010 she has ventured to some of the most exciting destinations in the world, proving herself as a go-anywhere expedition-style superyacht. Her beautifully executed interior has a classic maritime style and the entire yacht has been designed to enhance outdoor living. Exuma’s many awards include ‘Asia-based Charter Yacht of the Year’ at the Asia Boating Awards 2012, amply demonstrating her popularity in the wider Asian region and ensuring that she will be a must-see for all visitors to the Show.

Burak Akgul, Managing Director of Sales, Design and Marketing of the Perini Navi Group: said “We’re thrilled to exhibit Exuma with the Picchiotti Brand, at the Singapore Yacht Show. This unique opportunity allows us to further enhance our activities in Asia and we will take advantage of this event to announce our collaboration with Robert Shum and Kevin Koh of Kamour Marine Ltd, very recently appointed representative of the Perini Navi and Picchiotti brands in Singapore. Their extensive experience and passion will support not only our participation at the show, but our strategy in the area which is the gateway to Southeast Asia”.

Exuma is available exclusively for charter through Fraser Yachts who will also be exhibiting, for the first time, at the Singapore Yacht Show. Fabio Ermetto, Chairman of Fraser Yachts commented “We have seen the increasing success of the Singapore Yacht Show for a number of years and as we are now focused on increasing our own growth in this region with the recent appointment of a representative in Singapore, coupled with the fact that we have the stunning yacht Exuma on display at the show, we felt that this was an opportunity not to be missed.”

S/Y Vertigo is a show-stopper in every sense, demonstrated not least by her winning both the 2012 World Superyacht Awards Sailing Yacht of the Year Award, and the Prix Du Design Award at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2012. Launched by New Zealand-based Alloy Yachts in 2011, she is the largest private yacht ever launched from the Southern Hemisphere. Designed by fellow exhibitor Philippe Briand, she combines timeless lines with modern elegance. Having proved a popular charter yacht since her launch, she will be the perfect showcase for demonstrating luxury sail yacht charter to the discerning clientele that the show attracts. “We are delighted that Vertigo, which is the most award-winning superyacht that Alloy Yachts has ever built, will be present at the Singapore Yacht Show,” said Tony Hambrook, Managing Director of Alloy Yachts.
