Fantastic season opener for Camper & Nicholsons Marina in Grenada

Travel

After a successful Season Opening on the 20th of December 2008, it has been quite busy at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada. So far for the season twenty super yachts of one hundred feet or over have visited and another fifteen are expected to visit for the rest of January alone. Managers at the Camper and Nicholsons Marina in Grenada have also been reporting that mega yacht captains and captains of smaller yachts have been booking to come back later in the year, as they have enjoyed their stay so much.

This week is expected to be particularly busy at the marina with all the super yacht berths expected to be nearly full for the week. “We are delighted that the season is going so well,” said General Manager Clyde Rawls. “We knew that we were providing an excellent product in one of the most beautiful places in the world, so we were confident that once the word got out about our marina here in Grenada that the yachts would come.”

The word has certainly been getting out about the latest Camper & Nicholsons Marina. Not only have the referrals started from captains, crew and passengers who have visited Camper & Nicholsons has done extensive marketing of the Marina and the island. Marketing Manager Danny Donelan outlined the marketing initiatives. “We have made sure that we have been well marketed for the season. Camper & Nicholsons advertised in all the major regional and international yachting publications. We have also sponsored quite a bit of events including the Skipper’s briefing at the Antigua and St. Martin Charter Shows. I also have travelled to Fort Lauderdale quite often working with the Florida International Boat Association and sponsoring a destination seminar where I gave a power point presentation on the marina and Grenada as a cruising destination. We attended a number of other shows including the Monaco Boat Show, The Fort Lauderdale boat Show, the Antigua Classic Regatta and the St. Barth’s Bucket Regatta,” Donelan said.

Camper & Nicholsons will also be title sponsor of the Port Louis/Camper & Nicholsons Marinas Grenada Sailing Festival and sponsors of the Grenada Spice Isle Billfish Tournament 2009. These events are held in Grenada annually.
