FarSounder, Inc., the world leader in 3D forward looking sonar technology, announced the appointment of Capt. Ian Bowles, MNI as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Ian Bowles is a Master Mariner with 30 years of industry experience. He went to sea in 1978 with the UK Merchant Navy and rose to the rank of Master. After 13 years he came ashore and for the last 17 years has been involved in senior international sales and marketing roles with major marine electronics manufacturers, such as Raytheon Marine, Rutter Technologies and most recently at Japan Radio Co., Ltd.
As vice president, Bowles will now assume overall responsibility for expanding the sales and distribution channels globally as well as lead the effort into new market areas. The announcement was made by Cheryl M. Zimmerman, FarSounder chief executive officer, who said, "Ian's sales and marketing ability make an excellent fit for this new position. His contribution to the FarSounder management team will help drive the company to the next level."
