Yesterday the launch process of the 118-metre Feadship 1010 started, but due to her impressive size and draft, the stern had to be lifted before she could be floated out. By the end of the day yesterday she was halfway out of the shed and her build number NB 1010 could be seen embellished across her transom. This morning the shipyard continued with the launch and SuperYacht Times was onside to capture the first images as the 118-metre Feadship 1010 came out of her build shed.Photo: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesRead: Revealed: 118m Feadship 1010 under constructionPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht Times

Featuring exterior design from Espen Øino International, the superyacht was first unveiled in late 2020 when she was moved from the metal construction facility near Rotterdam, to the Feadship outfitting facility in Makkum.Photo: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesThe yacht's interior design has been penned by the French studio Zuretti Interior Design, though the details of the configuration and design have been kept closely under wraps. The yacht Feadship 1010 is only slightly smaller than the 118.8-metre Feadship Project 821, currently under construction, making her the second largest superyacht built by the Dutch yacht builder and the largest to have been launched.Photo: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesPhoto: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesFeadship 1010 is believed to have an interior volume of around 5,000 GT which will make her one of the largest yachts by volume ever launched in the Netherlands to date. The 117-metre Oceanco superyacht Infinity, which was launched and delivered this year, has a volume of 4,978 GT so the two yachts are likely in close competition for the top spot. The position as the largest yacht by volume built in the Netherlands will be taken by the Feadship 821 when the yacht is completed next year, with her estimated interior volume of over 7,000 GT.Photo: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht Times Photo: Ruben Griffioen / SuperYacht TimesThe longest yacht ever built in the Netherlands is the Oceanco schooner Oceanco Y721, which is due to be delivered later this year, but which has an interior volume of around 3,000 GT. Another very large superyacht currently under construction by a Dutch shipyard is the 120-metre Amels superyacht Signature, which is due for delivery in 2025 and has an estimated interior volume of over 5,500 GT.
