Built by Moonen Yachts in 2009, the Moonen 124 Northlander is one the largest superyachts the Dutch shipyard has launched to date. Built to a design by by René van der Velden, the sleek Moonen 124 has a gracefully balanced bow and stern, eye-catching fashion plates and a low superstructure profile.
Her interior was designed by Art-Line and makes full use of her significant volume. Beautifully designed, she displays a sophisticated contrast between the western cherry panelling with oriental influences, and decorative items such as fine copper-mesh floating sculptures and handsome pyramid-shaped panel sections.
She accommodates up to 10 guests over 5 luxurious rooms, including 1 master suite located forward, as well as two double and two twin guest staterooms centre on the stairs. Northlander also accommodates a crew of up to 5.
Why do we think this is such a great deal?
Northlander is the first Moonen yacht with a four-deck central atrium and spiral staircase, and is an elegant, classic yacht ideal for both charter and private use.
Among her many features are a large sun deck with a Jacuzzi and wet bar, and a rescue boat stowed on the main deck forward. The yacht’s central feature, however, is the central staircase running to the sun deck. It is surrounded by a mirrored atrium, and topped by an opening skylight that gives access to the sun deck, and allows the yacht to be inundated with light.
Powered by 2 MTU 16V2000 M60 1072hp engines, she has a maximum speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots. She has a range of 5600.00 miles at 11 knots. She is currently listed at €19,500,000 after a recent price reduction.
