The Italian Ferrari Franchi Design studio headed by Ferrari Marco has revealed their latest unique sailing yacht concept to SYT. Measuring 33.79 metres, Marco comments that her design is inspired by, “the Italian definition of Gran Turismo, that is used for cars of high performance but with great elegance and comfort.”
On board she accommodates up to eight guests over four cabins, including a forward owner’s suite and three guest cabins all featuring ceiling heights of 2.2 metres which work to create a generous sense of space inside. The crew area is located aft, and is comprised of three cabins for a crew of five.
The sense of space created in the cabins in continued throughout the yacht, with ceiling heights of 2.6 metres combined with large windows in the main salon resulting in a light, airy and welcoming place for guests to socialise and relax. A unique feature on board is the optional surface of the deckhouse, which resembles a mosaic. This can be modified dependent on the prospective owner’s wishes.
Emphasising a focus on high performance, Marco envisions the yacht being a successful regular on the regatta scene. She features a carbon fibre sloop rig with the sail plan consisting of a mainsail, staysail and a genoa with the possibility to use an asymmetrical spinnaker all made in 3DL.
