Ferretti Custom Line presents the Navetta 33 Crescendo

Ferretti Custom Line, a Ferretti Group brand operating within the production of fibreglass maxi-yachts measuring 26 to 38 metres, has presented their latest project, the Navetta 33 Crescendo. “Crescendo” is the new evolution of Ferretti Custom Line’s semi-displacement range, and evokes the universe of classical music, entering the sphere of the highest culture of Italian-made style. Quality, artisan features, sophisticated harmony, elegance and balance are the basic values of this line of yachts.

The Navetta 33 Crescendo, the natural evolution of the previous maxi yacht of the semi-displacement line, is the result of the close working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at the Ferretti Group’s Centro Stile.

The new Navetta 33 Crescendo model, which we will see in the water in late spring 2011, was developed according to the “slow motion” philosophy which characterises Ferretti Custom Line’s semi-displacement maxi yachts. Said yachts are designed as “villas on the sea”, developing a new concept of life on-board which features spacious areas, natural light and high levels of comfort,” comments Marco Segato, Ferretti Custom Line Brand Manager. “In particular, Navetta 33 Crescendo redefines the functional aspects of a number of different areas, in which contact with the sea is amplified through innovative solutions, maintaining a generally classical style. We have great expectations for this new model, due to the success achieved by the previous Navetta 33, a model which is very appreciated in Italy, Europe, including Russia and Turkey, and the Americas.”

The classical external lines of the “Navetta” model blend harmoniously with the contemporary interior design which can be personalised entirely according to the owner’s choices. On Navetta 33 Crescendo, as indeed on the entire Ferretti Custom Line range, all details which are not structural like, for example, furnishings, fabrics and décor, can be customized according to Owners’ preferences. Aided by the Centro Stile architects and designers, they can develop their own, tailor-made yacht, choosing from a selection of proposals by top Italian and international companies.

The natural light which filters through the large windows illuminates the spacious interiors: Navetta 33 Crescendo stands out in this segment for her 3 full decks, which are integrated into the line of the yacht. One new feature, compared with the previous model, is a large sundeck.

Guests enter the salon on the main deck from the large cockpit. The salon features teak flooring and is furnished with both a bench sofa which can be turned into a sundeck and teak table which can seat eight. The day area is split into living and dining sections: the large conversation area has three comfortable divans for eight people set out on the left and a coffee table, followed by a dining area featuring a table which can seat eight guests. The starboard side features a system of sliding glazed doors and a foldable saxboard enabling direct contact with the sea.

Continuing towards the yacht's bow, a staircase on the right connects to the upper and lower decks. The left provides access to the galley with dinette and door leading to the outside and direct access to the crew area. This has been designed in order to keep the areas where guests and crew pass completely separate.

In her bow, in complete silence and total privacy, the owner area is both spacious and full of light which filters in through the large windows. The area features functional, liveable solutions: a large walk-in closet to the right, and a work area with desk and low units on either side. The large head features a Jacuzzi and separate shower cubicle.

Below deck there are four spacious cabins which mirror each other perfectly, all with double beds which can be split into twins. All cabins enjoy a view over the sea through large open-view windows and have private heads with a separate shower and walk-in closet.

The superstructure of the Navetta 33 Crescendo have been completely redesigned: the upper deck has been extended and features innovative design solutions, whilst the sundeck is a completely new structure compared with the previous model, designed to multiply the spaces and place a privileged sunbathing area at guests’ disposal.

The upper deck, accessed both from the aft deck and the stairway set in the salon, is split into the helm station, living and dining areas and open-air section.

The helm station, providing extensive visibility, is organised with two control armchairs, a charting area, and a small divan with a door separating it from the guest area. Two control stations are located outside, on both sides, in order to facilitate manoeuvres.

The continuous windows of the living area on the upper deck mean it is very well-lit and features an L-shaped divan with a table for relaxing. Alternatively, it can be used as a quiet, private business area.

The great innovation of this yacht is the versatile environment of the dining area. It features a large circular table which can seat eight and a system of circular sliding doors which makes it either part of the interior or exterior area.

The external upper deck can house a conversation area with divans or can be personalised with freestanding furnishings according to the owner’s wishes. Astern there is a space for the tender or jet skis, complete with davit. The portuguese deck enables those aboard to access the sun pad located in the deckhouse, whilst another sundeck is positioned at bow on the main deck.

A convenient stairway positioned on the left, astern on the upper deck, provides access to the sundeck. This area offers complete privacy for sun lovers and features a large sundeck, circular jacuzzi on the owner’s request, bar unit and grill, as well as a versatile area astern which can be set up as another sundeck or possibly a space for housing other water toys.

The stern hatch provides access to the garage which can house a tender or jet ski and be loaded into the garage using a davit set on the flybridge. Once opened, thanks to the teak cladding, it turns into a platform which facilitates descent into the sea. A second tender can be housed astern on the upper deck.

The Navetta 33 Crescendo responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment, featuring Seamphony’s Audio-Video Media Server entertainment system, with a broadband web connection module. Moreover, the yacht features innovative instrumentation which includes the new Furla.net control system with which users can monitor and manage utilities, services and alarms simply and immediately using a touch screen.

This solution makes it even easier for the crew to access on-board systems, increasing comfort and safety.

Three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, supplied as standard on Ferretti Custom Line maxi yachts, reduce yacht rolling by over 50%.

The Navetta 33 Crescendo features twin 1400 Mhp MAN V 12 engines or twin 1550 Mhp MAN V12 engines on request. Larger engines make it possible to reach a top speed of 20 knots and a cruise speed of 16.5 (preliminary data).
