The fifth edition of the Singapore Yacht Show opened its doors to the industry and public yesterday in Sentosa Cove.
Managing Director of the Show, Andy Treadwell, reports that he is extremely happy with how far the Show has come in a relatively short period of time. He says, “After only five years, the Singapore Yacht Show has really established itself as a world-class yacht show. We have such a superior selection of yachts, boats and complementary attractions for visitors ,and the Show also offers a fantastic platform for our exhibitors to get in front of a great audience.”
ONE°15 Marina Club Chairman, Arthur Tay, highlighted the growth of the event’s significance since it opened five years ago. “This Show at Sentosa Cove’s ONE°15 Marina Club has become an iconic event and has grown from strength to strength since 2011. When we started out five years ago, we underestimated the potential for the Show to become such a strong contender within the yachting industry. We are proud to note that the Show is regarded as Asia’s premier boating event.”
Todays activities kicked off with the Fine Arts & Exquisite Luxuria Auction, with the main part of the Show opening at 1pm. Tonight will also be the night in which the highly anticipated Black Tie Gala Dinner will be taking place from 7pm.
The Singapore Yacht Show will come to a close on the 26th April.
