South African shipyard Southern Wind’s SW102 quiver keeps filling up as the Cape Town-based yacht builder launched the fifth unit in its line of regatta-winning superyachts – the 31.71 metres Crossbow.
With the familiar combo of naval architect Farr Yacht Design and Nauta Design behind the interior and exterior design of the yacht, Crossbow follows in the wake of the yard’s successful SW102 mini-series and is the third Raised Saloon version of the line.
Crossbow’s hull, deck and superstructure are constructed using a resin-infused carbon fibre sandwich material, keeping to Southern Wind’s quest for building lightweight and voluminous yachts that adhere to stringent levels of durability and seaworthiness.
The yacht’s bright and fun interior is set up according to Southern Wind’s familiar layout of having the owner’s suite located forward in the bow section. Crew quarters are situated aft with an open plan saloon and dining area amidships.
Crossbow is currently making her way up the African coastline on her maiden voyage as she sails for the Mediterranean.
