The Italian duo Fincantieri Yachts and Hot Lab have joined forces on a new 110-metre superyacht concept called Ganimede. Ganimede, revealed in Florida last week during the world’s largest yacht show, takes its name from the Greek myth figure, Ganymedes.
Much like the eagle into which Ganymedes was transformed according to mythology, so too this concept takes on the shape of the creature with a beak-like bow design, created to cut through the roughest of sea states. The flush foredeck supports a helicopter landing pad that reveals a dedicated hangar when opened.
The outdoor guest areas are decorated in an art deco style with a flush swimming pool acting as the centrepiece of the 20-metre-long beach club. This area is connected to the main deck via a semi-spiral staircase where there are several different-sized social areas to hang out in. The sloping bulwarks create the perfect environment for guests to enjoy the views while relaxing behind the central bar area.
The upper deck forward will be dedicated entirely to the owner’s apartment. Here we find an impressive owner’s lounge that connects through to forward-facing cabin, flanked by full-height windows on either side leading out to the side decks.
