Fire under control at Benetti yard in Livorno

Benetti has announced that at 10.30am this morning, a fire broke out inside the shipyard in Livorno. The fire has damaged the construction of a superyacht under construction. The yard has not yet released details which vessel has been damaged.

The yard's own security team, and a local fire-fighting team responded quickly to the emergency, and worked together according to applicable regulations to put out the fire.

There have been no injuries. More information will follow soon.
