First 50m Overmarine Mangusta 165 REV superyacht launched

Overmarine has announced the launch of the first yacht in the new 50-metre Mangusta 165 REV series. The superyacht highlights the revolutionary design and content features that the brand has already introduced, with her highly successful sister yacht, Mangusta 165.Mangusta 165REV/01 yacht launched “I am proud to be celebrating the launch of this first unit of the Mangusta 165 REV together with her Owner, his family, and the whole team who took part in her construction,” said the Group's CEO Maurizio Balducci. “I am convinced that today, with this launch, we are writing a new important page in the history of our shipyard”

The Mangusta 165 REV yacht was built in composite at the Overmarine Viareggio shipyard in Italy. This series is the second project developed jointly by the shipyard's Engineering Department, headed by engineer Nicola Onori, and design firm Lobanov Design following the Mangusta 104 REV series, the first unit of which was delivered last year.

“I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who, over the last few months, worked tirelessly to build the Mangusta 165 REV and did everything possible to catch up with the delays caused by the challenging times we are currently going through", added Balducci.

Like all Mangusta yachts, the interior of the Mangusta 165 REV is fully customisable and has been designed by Overmarine's technical department architects alongside the owner with coordination of Sales Manager Nicolò Strocco. Mangusta 165REV/01 yacht launched The Mangusta 165 REV superyacht features an aggressive and sporty profile that conceals her spacious 390 GT interior. Her main saloon includes ceiling high windows that open up towards the stern and on the sides to create two large fold-down balconies. 

She is able to accommodate up to ten guests across six luxurious staterooms with a magnificent full-beam 92 square-metre master suite located on the main deck. Further guest accommodation can be found on the lower deck with four guest staterooms and a VIP stateroom.

Located at the stern on the lower deck of the Mangusta 165 REV, the aft door opens to reveal a beach club conceived as a fully-equipped lounge area by the sea, with the tender garage on one side. The huge forward area will allow guests to indulge in pure relaxation, thanks to a sunbathing area, comfy sofas, and an infinity pool that blends into the sea. The 69 square-metre deck also has a bar located amidships.

The Mangusta 165 REV superyacht’s impressive performance is made possible by four Rolls Royce 2,600 horsepower engines, coupled with 4 Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets to push her to a maximum speed of 34 knots. A huge amount of care has also been taken to fuel consumption, which paired with an equal speed, has been reduced by around 30 percent against the previous series.

The Mangusta 165 REV will be on display at the forthcoming Monaco Yacht Show, with the second unit available for sale and ready for delivery in Summer 2023.
