Pascoe International sells first 100% electric limousine tender

Pascoe International has signed a contract for the sale of the first fully electric limousine tender. The team has confirmed that she is under construction and will be delivered in 2023 to a large new-build superyacht from a leading Northern European shipyard. Pascoe International e-Limousine TenderThe Pascoe e-Limousine is based on the company’s award-winning SL platform which uses the brand’s latest oil-cooled electric motors. Pascoe International has teamed with an array of experts in marine propulsion to develop, what they say is, the “most efficient transfer of power from the motor to the water”. Alongside this, the new drive system will remove the noise and vibration expected from the more traditional stern-drive. In short, the Pascoe e-Limousine makes a promise of being eco-friendly and comfortable without any compromise to performance capabilities.  Pascoe International SL-Limousine Tender“The realisation of a zero-emission at point of use Limousine Tender with a top speed of 40 knots and a maximum range of 60 miles will be a defining moment for the superyacht industry,” Tom Southern, Vice President at Pascoe International commented. “The e-Limousine truly signifies the beginning of a new wave of luxury water-borne travel and a move away from internal combustion propulsion systems in the superyacht sector.”Pascoe International SL-Limousine TenderPascoe International has also announced that, following its six-year research and development period, it will now offer full electric propulsions for its line of limousines and open guest tenders. Those opting for Pascoe International will benefit from long-term cost savings, as they’ll be able to charge their tenders directly from their yacht’s power generators without the need to use fossil fuels, such as diesel. Moreover, they’ll have the added benefit of reduced vibrations, reduced noise and a very potent increase in torque. Pascoe's fleet of tendersThe UK-based design firm has delivered over 250 projects since its conception in 2004. It has expressed that fully electric tenders are not only viable now, they are, in fact, a far superior alternative to combustion-fueled models.
