Italian shipyard Arcadia has delivered its first 85S motor yacht to her American owner recently. Based on the same concept as the already established Arcadia 85, the new S model is equipped with a new sky-lounge area that can be be converted into a completely sheltered third deck.
The additional level is a climate controlled area that offers shelter in warmer climates or during rough weather. When at anchor or while cruising during the day, the surrounding windows are lowered, creating a splendid open air environment. This level is also fitted with a command station and therefore doubles as.
The design of Arcadia 85S reflects simple and understated styling with an harmonious blend between the indoor and outdoor areas. Her deckhouse has been made almost entirely out of double layered reflecting glass, giving the interior a bright and airy feel. The sliding overhead and lateral blinds can provide privacy and shade. Hull number one is designed with four guest cabins including a spacious master suite amidships, all of which are located on the lower deck. Four crew members are accommodated within the bow section.
Arcadia’s eco-friendly approach is continued with the 85S. High performance solar cells have been installed on top of the largest part of the superstructure with over 36 square metres providing up to 3,5 kW of self sufficient power to many of the yacht’s electrical systems.
