First Asteria 96 yacht launched by Heysea

New-Build
Written by
Charl van Rooy

Nearing delivery to her Chinese owner, Heysea Yachts has launched its first Asteria 96 yacht recently. She is built as a high-performance yacht that will deliver a stable ride and a clean interior living area to suit her speedy nature.

Designed by Australian naval architect, David Bentley, the Asteria 96 offers two guest cabins (that can be combined as a double bed configuration by the push of a button) and a luxurious VIP stateroom. Her large master suite comes complete with a walk-in wardrobe and en suite bathroom. For this first unit, the Asteria 96 is fitted with a media room instead of the proposed VIP suite.

Power comes from a pair of 1136hp Caterpillar diesel engines for a top speed of 20 knots and comfortable cruising at 16 knots. Optional extras include a stabilisation system and an engine upgrade, which makes speeds of more than 28 knots possible.
