LeVen Yachts, together with YachtCreators and Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands announced that the first LeVen 90 yacht launched last month and will now be making her way to Florida to be displayed at this month’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The new line of superyachts was developed together with experienced owner and entrepreneur, Lucas Silva.
The new 27-metre superyacht is the design and engineering work of Vripack while Van der Valk was selected for its aluminium expertise who used the metal in a renewable form to reduce its impact on the environment. Specifically designed for use in shallow cruising grounds such as the Exumas, the yacht is based on Vripack’s Slide Hull design and incorporates twin Voith Linear Jet propulsion units that together keep the depth below the waterline to a mere 1,37 metres. Onboard features include a 650-square-metre sundeck with a 9-metre hardtop that also serves as a platform for the yacht’s solar panels to help power the lithium system and the yacht’s silent mode. The new LeVen 90 will be capable of speeds in excess of 26 knots and a cruising range of over 400 nm thanks to her twin MTU 12V2000 engines.Photo: LeVen YachtsPhoto: LeVen Yachts
