First look at 30m new build sailing yacht Vagante
Currently in build in Turkey at Huzur Yat, the 30.3-metre sailing yacht Vagante features naval architecture and exterior design by Taka Yacht Design and interior design from Stephen Huish Design. Scheduled for delivery in summer this year, her name means ‘rambler’, ‘wanderer’ or ‘no fixed abode’ - here we take a first look at her design and how construction is progressing.
On board, she accommodates up to eight guests as well as a crew of three. Her interior is modern and clean yet warm, a specific request from the owner, utilising American walnut, bleached oak and polished stainless steel details throughout.

Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu of Taka Yat’s offers an insight into the design philosophy of the yacht: “Vagante was designed for a young, enthusiastic couple and their family with a huge love for the sea. She is styled after the Turkish gulets, but with much finer lines, modern underbody, bulb keel and spade rudder. Her structure is designed well in excess of RINA rules, but she is of medium displacement due to an efficient arrangement of frames and bulkheads. Electrical and piping systems are carefully designed and executed for long life with minimum maintenance.”
