Currently under construction at the Arcadia Yachts shipyard in Torre Annunziata, Naples, the reimagined design of hull number five from the 35-metre Arcadia A115 range has been revealed. Built on speculation for either private or commercial use, the vessel’s new style has been conceived in collaboration with the Milanese design studio Hot Lab, and is due to make its debut in early 2021.

Exemplified by the 140-square-metre upper deck and two further decks that provide guests with a total living space of 500 square metres, the vessel’s design intends to create a convivial setting throughout.

Photo: Arcadia YachtsWith the idea of a winter garden influencing her design structure, full-height windows bridge a close connection between the interior and exterior spaces all year round. Speaking about the design choices behind the fifth Arcadia A115 yacht, Enrico Lumini from Hot Lab commented, “If we were to take just two examples, we could pick the jardin d’hiver on the upper deck and the arch that connects the aft and stern of the yacht."

Photo: Arcadia YachtsHe continues, "In the jardin d’hiver we worked so that the transparency clearly perceived when viewing the A115 from outside can be experienced inside as well. We achieved this with low furniture items concentrated inside the volume, away from the uprights and the large windows. Even for large elements, such as the 75” TV, we found solutions that reduce the visual impact as much as possible, such as hanging solutions.”

Arches matching the main one have been included on the decks to bring to mind the exterior line when standing inside. I am referring in particular to the lobbies and stairs, which are very important areas on the A115.”

Photo: Arcadia YachtsAble to sleep up to 12 guests, four double cabins located on the lower deck are dedicated to guests, while the owner will benefit from a private 40-square-metre apartment located in the bow of the main deck. An additional crew of eight will be accommodated for in four cabins.

Photo: Arcadia YachtsHer interior design was devised to give guests a 7-star hotel experience by merging furniture elements and technical facilities in a way that provides more flexibility. The architectural structure was therefore designed prior to the integration of components, which are replaceable, allowing the future owner of this A115 yacht to choose between a broad range of solutions for the cabins, hall and dining area.

Photo: Arcadia YachtsDirector of the Arcadia Yachts shipyard, Ugo Pellegrino, explained: “All the previous A115 yachts have been very successful in the charter market and on average have been rented for over ten weeks a year. For this reason, when building this unit on spec, we decided to implement all the required commercial specifications, so the owner could decide to use the yacht for this purpose at a later date if so inclined. In any case, we are certain that even if the owner decides to use the yacht for personal cruising, the features required by charter class yachts will be to the advantage of the crew on board as well.”

Photo: Arcadia YachtsWith the vessel sporting a fibreglass hull and main deck with aluminium verandas, power will be provided to the 266GT A115 yacht in the form of two MAN V8 engines with 1,300 hp each that will enable her to reach a top speed of 17 knots and cruise at 14 knots.
