First look onboard Feadship's Rock.It at FLIBS

Launched in summer 2014, the 60.35 metre superyacht Rock.It was one of the most highly anticipated new yachts at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and it’s not hard to see why. Built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship, she features both exterior and interior design from Sinot Yacht Design and was built for a first time owner.

She accommodates up to ten guests on board as well as a crew of 13. The owner’s full beam suite is located on the main deck, whilst two VIP suites and two twin cabins are found on the lower deck.

Marble and stone play a key role in defining the on-board atmosphere. Backlit pure White Onyx is blended with an enormous amount of Statuario and sensational slabs of Portoro to elevate an already high-class interior to a stratospheric level of opulence.

“Each Feadship is totally unique and no two Feadship owners are the same,” comments the shipyard’s CEO, Henk de Vries. “It is our privilege to create the most amazing yachts on the oceans for the most fascinating people on the planet, and it has been a great experience to partner with the owner of Rock.It.”

Rock. It’s exterior areas are both spacious and ideally designed to enjoy the best of life on board. The sun deck in particular has an expansive look and feel, enhanced by the absence of bulwarks.

There are two bars on the sun deck with a working area in-between in order to serve guests lounging towards the aft area and those relaxing in or around the Jacuzzi forward.

Commenting on his new superyacht, the owner states, “The reason that I chose Feadship is simple. Whether it’s wiring or plumbing, pipe fitting or painting, finishing or wiring, Feadship has the finest compilation of artists that I could find on my journey of discovery among the superyachts that exist today. It is all the small things that they do, the time they take to do what they do, and the extra effort that they take to make every corner, nook and cranny look great. As we enjoy this piece of art called Rock. It, we always do so with respect and admiration for the men and women who created her.”

Keep tuned for a more in-depth feature on Rock.It on SuperYacht Times soon.
