First Look: Perini Navi 53m custom superyacht under construction
Italian yard Perini Navi has quietly been working on a new explorer-styled custom motor yacht, the 53m Voyager. Currently under construction in at the yard's facility in La Spezia, Italy, she is scheduled for delivery end of 2019. With an exterior designed by Vitruvius Yacht and naval architecture by Philippe Briand, the 52.6-metre superyacht distinguished design is said to have been influenced by other explorer yachts from Perini Navi, such as Exuma, Galileo G and Nautilus, resulting in her dignified lines. The 763GT steel and aluminium displacement yacht is designed to travel the open oceans in any weather conditions.
Featuring interiors designed by Angus Addison, Voyager can accommodate up to ten guests across five staterooms, including the master’s cabin with a private bathroom and dressing room. Stand out features include the lounge complete with a grand piano on the second deck, as well as the pool located on the stern. Voyager also features five crew cabins, with room to house nine members in addition to the captain.
Powered by twin CAT C32 ACERT diesel engines, she will have a top speed of 16.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 5500 nm at 12 knots.
