First Oceanic 90’ superyacht launched

Oceanic Yachts has launched the inaugural Oceanic 90’ superyacht. Built by Cantiere Navale di Ostia - Canados, she features naval architecture by Arrabito naval architects. Sold earlier this year and named Tsa Tsa, she will make her debut at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2014 from the 9th to the 14th of September.

Superyacht broker Michel Karsenti of Yacht-Ology comments, “The concept was invented by Yacht-Ology's clients who kept on hammering the fact no yachts on the market had enough outdoor space for fun and enough capacity to carry all the "must have" toys. At the same time, not all clients wanted to consider typical expedition yachts that cruise at 12 knots. I therefore decided to design the boat myself. The result is quite unique. The 90' carries a 6.60 metre tender, 2 three seater Wave Runners, 1 Jet Lev, couple of Seabobs and we still have room for more. Apart from this, the 90' is 7 metres wide, which allowed us to offer massive volumes including an owner's private deck with its own terrace.”

As Karsenti demonstrates, the line’s philosophy is of extended outdoor and indoor living volumes, the ability to carry large toys and tenders, high performance and the ability to navigate at economic speed with low fuel consumption, resulting in reduced overall operating costs. Powered by twin 1,950hp Caterpillar C32 Acert diesels, she boasts a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.

In regards to the future, Karsenti continues, “We are now ready to start the commercial aspect and we will produce three 90s for next year. It will be followed by the Oceanic 140' that is even more challenging with a top speed of 27 knots, pod drives, diesel-electric power and central garage/beach club. For 2016, we are preparing an intermediate product that will be a 120'. All models will be available in Support version (two decks) or Luxury version (tri-decks).”

Tsa Tsa will be attending both the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show in September.
