Wider has confirmed that following the commissioning of its first Wider 125 superyacht model by a northern European client, the shipyard will soon begin construction on the project. Delivery of the yacht is scheduled for Spring 2019.
To be built in aluminium, the 38-metre superyacht is designed by Fulvio de Simoni, who was also responsible for the design of several other Wider vessels, including the Wider 150, Genesi, and Wider 165, Cecilia, that is currently under construction. The 125 benefits from the same diesel-electric technology as seen in the rest of the Wider family, improving fuel economy, range and reliability.
“I am delighted that we came to an agreement to build the Wider125,” says Tilli Antonelli, Founder and CEO of Wider.“The client is an experienced charter customer who knows how his family want to use and enjoy their yacht. We have been talking for over a year and the client has looked at the market in detail and decided to build with Wider. Many thanks also go to Georges Damonte from Damonte Yacht Consulting for his assistance in securing the build.”
Outside, the 125’s spaces dedicated to relaxation is vast, with the entire upper aft deck being reserved for sun loungers and exterior furniture only. Forward of the wheelhouse, a large seating recess is carved into the superstructure, whilst the stern garage opens and the aft swimming platform extends to create a plunge pool and expansive beach club. A tender garage is located forward with the capacity to stow a 5.5-metre tender along with two jet skis and a MOB tender fits comfortably on deck.
