As a creative platform, Instagram hosts surprisingly few pages that offer daily design inspiration in the field of yachting. Original and thought-provoking design content is somewhat lacking and Instagram as a medium certainly offers a space for up-and-coming designers to step up and deliver something fresh and never seen before. Here we take a look at five design teams who take their Instagram game seriously and who have managed to create a unique presentation of their respective styles.
Bannenberg & Rowell
Putting a personal, unfiltered spin on the Instagram yachting scene, the views of London design studio Bannenberg & Rowell are randomly laid out on their page feed consisting of humorous behind-the-scenes moments, throwbacks from the studio’s archives, and weekly design inspirations.
PROFESSIONAL? (Behind the BRD Superyacht Gallery wall). Whether it’s measuring an aeroplane, helping the local Earl to orientate his carriage, or having a patient Russian gentleman teach you how to roll a vodka glass across your face, the Bannenberg & Rowell team go to extreme lengths to ensure its work is informed by detailed and diligent research. Professional seems an inadequate adjective. Secrets of superyacht design revealed this week at #superyachtgallery #saatchigallery #bannenbergandrowell

Lobanov Yacht Design
‘Young’ established designer Igor Lobanov is always up for talking about yacht design and often reveals his way of creating the studio’s signature sculpture-like design style in detailed and comprehensive Instagram posts.
First sketches of the future “Jubilee”… . Initially the concept had a name "UnfoundLand", because on top view it reminded us a topographic map of the island. Each layer has its own outline and together they form an imaginary heights of the hill on the island surrounded by the sea. It’s seen better on the 3D model screen shots . #JubileeDesignStory #yachtjubilee #Lobanovyachtdesign .
