Four award nominations for superyachts by Diana Yacht Design this year

This year, four yachts originally designed by Diana Yacht Design were nominated for a superyacht award. On April 15th 2011 the Design Et Al awards were held in the U.K. Superyacht Mystic (category of Power Yachts over 40 metres) and Eleanor Allen (Refit/Rebuild/Conversion) were both the winners of these categories. The 46 metre superyacht Mystic is the largest mega yacht that is completely manufactured from composite in Europe and Turkey.

Eleanor Allen (34,5m) was designed by Diana Yacht Design and built by De Vries Feadship in 1979, a perfect example that a Diana Yacht Design yacht stands the test of time.

The nominations and winnings did not stop at the Design Et Al awards, because on May 7th 2011 the World Superyacht Awards were presented. For the sixth year in a row this glamorous event took place in the London Guildhall. The 30 metre superyacht Livia (naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design) was nominated in the category Best Displacement Motor yacht of below 500GT (30m to 49.9m).

The 100 metre superyacht Attessa IV was not only nominated, but won, in the category Rebuilt of Yacht.
