operation in real conditions,” Lapp explained.&nbsp;Solar integration itself has become a defining element of the shipyard’s design philosophy. “What makes our solution different is that the panels are not just added on – they’re fully integrated into the yacht’s structure,” he said. “The hull sides, superstructure, bimini, even masts in some cases.”By maximising available surface area for energy generation, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1158" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sunreef Yachts (Company)">Sunreef</a> is able to reduce reliance on conventional onboard power systems. “Instead of relying on generators, we can cover up to 100% of the hotel load directly from solar energy,” Lapp revealed. “When it comes to cruising, with the right navigation profile, like island hopping and smart energy management, it’s possible to navigate using close to zero fuel.”<img come from natural, low-impact sources,” he added.Looking ahead, Lapp believes artificial intelligence and automation will play a defining role in the future of large sailing catamarans. “One of the
