The Perini Navi Group is ready to begin the fourth edition of the Perini Navi Cup. The competition, open only to yachts from the Perini Navi fleet, will take place against the wonderful backdrop of Porto Cervo, Sardinia. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/136383/image/large-2f10f23fb87e83063d64dea8583c86e4.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/128885">The regatta, organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and Perini Navi, also avails itself of collaborations with important national and international brands such as Audi, Axa Yachting Solutions, Calvisius, Champagne Pommery, Icet, Marina Yachting, Quadrivio Sgr, Rolex, Sonus Faber and Yacht Capital. The 2011 edition of the Perini Navi Cup will see 19 yachts participating in three days of racing to win the Perini Navi Trophy, which in the past has been won by the 40m ketch <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1501">Principessa Vaivia</a> and by the 88m clipper <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/385">The Maltese Falcon</a>. The idea for the first charter show in the region was initiated in 1979 by Jim and Jill Anderson, who were living in Marmaris at the time and pioneered the idea of holding a yacht show in the area. "With this deep-rooted history, the charter show tradition in Turkey is considered the second oldest ongoing organisation in the world (the first being the Antigua Charter Yacht Show)" shares Noyan.The event, held in the shadow of the historic Marmaris Castle, will showcase the most distinguished commercial charter yachts representing Turkish yachting. The fair offers an ideal platform for brokers to inspect yachts, meet crew members, and strengthen professional relationships in the international charter market.
