Freedom Maritime chandlery will be operated in partnership with Compositeworks, a leading French superyacht repair and maintenance operator from La Ciotat, France. The full range of products and services will be available to Porto Montenegro’s guests from July 2010. Yachts of all sizes will find an extensive range of cleaning, safety, interior and engineering products from the world’s best producers, including 3M, AERE, MIELE, Bulgari, Caterpillar, MCA, Lloyds, Ocean Safety and others. The new chandlery will be located in Porto Montenegro’s first residential and retail complex, Teuta, and will offer the same variety, quality of products and level of service enjoyed at other Freedom Maritime locations around the world.

“We are excited to partner with Porto Montenegro to open our chandlery store and enter one of the fastest growing yacht destinations. With Porto Montenegro’s world class facilities and its proximity to some of the best cruising grounds in the Mediterranean, Montenegro is to become the next centre for the yachting world”, says Pete Williams of Freedom Maritime. “Our experienced team has an extensive network of the world’s best suppliers, as well as a distribution fleet of vans and worldwide shipments departing from our stores on a daily basis. All of these will combine to provide Porto Montenegro’s clients with first-class service for all of their yachting needs”.

“We are thrilled to work with Freedom Maritime, the leading chandlery operator in the super yacht industry. Freedom Maritime chandlery and Compositeworks full range superyacht refit facility of the highest quality in the Bay of Kotor represents an important component to the creation of Porto Montenegro as the comprehensive home port in the Adriatic”, says Ben Mennem, co-founder of Compositeworks.

“This partnership is a major step forward in bringing the superyacht industry to Porto Montenegro. Freedom Maritime’s exceptional reputation for reliability, quality and rapid supply of all equipment will ensure vessels of all sizes will never be without access to equipment for their yachts while in Montenegro”, says Oliver Corlette, Managing Director for Porto Montenegro. “Our vision is to become the premier home port in the Mediterranean for yachts of all sizes. The recent addition of Freedom Maritime chandlery, along with Porto Montenegro’s spectacular cruising grounds, port of entry, range of berths up to 150m in length, duty and tax-free fuel bunkering, provisioning services, sport and leisure facilities, favourable tax environment, Compositeworks refit and maintenance facilities, residential and retail units and an international airport nearby will ensure we meet this objective”, added Corlette.
