British Waterways in partnership with Canary Wharf Group is launching its superyacht berthing offer at the prestigious Wood Wharf, London location for the 2012 Olympic summer.
Gareth Stephens, British Waterways’ Harbour and Waterspace Manager said: “Already we have secured some of the world’s most prestigious ships and yachts to moor in London Docklands, and now we can offer a further set of superyacht moorings situated around Wood Wharf, a new development within the London Docklands estate.”
The moorings at Wood Wharf offer berths for approximately 20 superyachts between 25 metre and 60 metre. Full servicing facilities are available and the berths on offer have unlimited air draft and direct access to the River Thames.
During summer 2012 Wood Wharf will also be able to offer event space adjacent to the superyacht berths for clients who would like a land-side presence in London’s leading financial district, Canary Wharf.
Set against the modern cityscape of Canary Wharf, the docks are steeped in history whilst also offering a unique location. Wood Wharf affords easy access to the Olympic Games venues, Central London, the West End and City Airport.
Gareth Stephens continues: “Situated alongside the exclusive Wood Wharf events and hospitality space, the moorings on offer are a secure haven within easy reach of the Olympic Park, surrounded by world-class shops, restaurants and entertainment.”
