Grand style for the Superyacht Cup

Ilona of Kylesku has very kindly been offered by her owner and Camper & Nicholsons International as the official Superyacht Cup Committee Boat for the Palma 2007 event. This stunning classic vintage yacht is all set to honor her centennial history, starring at The Superyacht Cup Palma as both a VIP vessel and Committee Boat. Ilona of Kylesku boasts both an impressive naval service record and an eclectic civilian history. Despite having confronted both World Wars, this superb yacht has never been out of commission, displaying timeless elegance and aristocratic grandeur.

Built in 1907 by James Armour & Sons and designed by William Stoba, Ilona of Kylesku was submitted to an extensive restoration and modernization program in 3 major refits to recover her perfect structural state while conserving her original appearance. Camper & Nicholsons International invites you on a virtual tour on Ilona of Kylesku through http://www.motionvrtours.com/eh/426666/ilona/ilona/intro.html, and a live presentation of the yacht during The Superyacht Cup 2007.

This week the 29m Wally, Magic Carpet2 and Saudade, the Judel & Vrolijk 35m sloop, joined the list, bringing the number of yachts registered up to 54. The Superyacht Cup incorporating The New Zealand Millennium Cup is expecting up to 60 yachts from 27m to over 80m length overall. It will be held at Dique del Oeste in Palma, Mallorca, June 16 -19th 2007. The Millennium Cup was last held in New Zealand during the 2003 America's Cup and this will be the first time it has been held in Europe.
