Hakvoort Shipyards opens new slipway

The Hakvoort shipyard in Holland has opened a new slipway earlier this month. The new slipway allows the yard to build superyachts of 58 x 10.60 metres. The yard already raised the roof of its main construction shed by two metres in 2009 to build four-deck vessels.

We are now in a position to bid for new 50-metre-plus projects for delivery in early 2014,” says Klaas Hakvoort. “Our yard is highly competitive in this size bracket due to our lean overheads and very high quality levels".
