Capt. Jeff Donahue Brings Retail Experience, Hatteras Expertise to New Role
Hatteras Yachts is pleased to announce the appointment of Capt. Jeff Donahue to the position of regional sales manager, effective immediately. In this position, Donahue will provide leadership to the MarineMax and Gulf Coast Hatteras dealer sales teams that are responsible for Hatteras sales throughout Florida and the Gulf Coast.
Donahue replaces Johnny Hicks, who has retired from Hatteras after 23 years of distinguished service. “Filling the shoes of an industry veteran is always a challenge,” said Jan Boone, vice president of sales for Hatteras Yachts. “But when you can find an individual like Jeff Donahue to see you through the transition, you truly do turn a challenge into an opportunity. Jeff has extensive experience in retail sales and in running Hatteras’ newest and largest yachts, and he is well liked by all who know him. To say we’re excited to have him join the team would be a tremendous understatement.”
Prior to joining Hatteras, Donahue worked as Mid-Atlantic sales manager for Pompanette Chairs and Bomar Hatches for nine years. During that time, he also served as captain of private fishing vessels for a North Carolina businessman. These vessels have included hulls No. 1 of both the Hatteras 68 Convertible and 77 Convertible, both named Safari and based in Wrightsville Beach. “Jeff has built an excellent relationship with Hatteras during the build cycles of our new flagship yachts,” said Boone. “He has been on the front line of new product development, deployment and after-sale service. He understands better than most how Hatteras and its dealers must work together to produce an excellent sales and service experience.”
