Heesen Yachts has just announced that superyacht Jade, the third hull in its new 50-metre displacement line is now under construction at its facility in Oss, the Netherlands. The first welds of the keel of YN 20350 began under the supervision of the American Bureau of Shipping Surveyor. The yacht, which sits just below the 500 GT mark, will be able to accommodate as many as 12 guests between five staterooms, with a main deck master suite and two twins and two doubles located on the lower deck. Cristiano Gatto Design has been charged with the vessels interior design, which has a modern yet cosy feel.Omega Architects are behind the series' lines. Jade features a reverse sheer towards the bow that will improve visibility from the wheelhouse and accentuate her profile. She has a beach club and a large man deck aft terrace. She has a shallow draft of only 2.15-metres, aimed at cruising in some of the more exclusive cruising grounds.Friso Visser, Heesen CCO, commented, “This combination of speed and shallow draft makes the design ideal for cruising in shallow coastal waters such as the Bahamas, as well as the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean". He added, "Project Jade represents the perfect opportunity for a discerning client who will appreciate the security offered by a proven design and engineering platform, along with the excitement of this design’s outstanding performance, intelligent engineering and master craftsmanship".Project Jade will be powered by MTU IMO Tier III engines, offering her top speeds of 23 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles. She will be available for delivery in Spring 2024.
