Heesen Yachts have announced the delivery of their latest yacht, the 55m fast displacement superyacht, Azamanta. Developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects in partnership with Heesen’s in-house engineering team, Azamanta is designed to safely cruise in high latitudes with an ice-reinforced steel hull.
Her straight, cutting exterior lines is the work of Omega Architects, and have styled Azamanta with signature features such as distinctive carved lines running aft from the bow, and ‘shark tooth’ overhangs blending the superstructure and hull together. Another unique feature is the use of glass panels inserted in the bridge deck bulwarks. This not only serves as an aesthetic feature but also allows for greater views from the upper salon when seated.
Heesen cooments, “Azamanta is the third yacht we have delivered this year after 50m Sibelle and 47m Asya. She is a wonderful example of what owners can achieve when they entrust Heesen to build their superyacht: solid Dutch design, engineering and naval architecture wrapped in unique individual design.”
