Last month, Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts unveiled its latest 49.8-metre all-aluminium superyacht project: Altea. With her build on schedule and preparing for delivery in May 2021, we take a first look at the interiors of project Altea.

Photo: Heesen YachtsHer contemporary exteriors are designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, showcasing a profile characterised by a long waterline, floor to ceiling windows, a gently reversed stem with spray rails and an aluminium hull with a shadow draft of only 2.15 metres.

Photo: Heesen YachtsHer interiors, from the drawing boards of the Italian studio Cristiano Gatto, give project Altea a tranquil and warm feel. The theme uses stained Canaletto and American walnut as the main veneers across both her flooring and walls.

Photo: Heesen YachtsAdditionally, she also features textured leathers and custom carpets by Luxury Pride alongside soft furnishings, with top-tier materials like silk, velvet and leather trims adding a sense of comfort and elegance.

Photo: Heesen YachtsOn board, project Altea is designed to accommodate 12 guests across six well-appointed staterooms as well as nine crew in five cabins, all spanning almost 350 square metres.

Photo: Heesen YachtsPowered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 main engines, she is expected to reach a top speed of 19.5 knots and cruise at a speed of 12 knots.
