Heesen Yachts presents 50m Project Altea

Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has unveiled its latest 49.8-metre all-aluminium superyacht: Project Altea. Due for delivery in May 2021, the fast-displacement motor yacht is a sistership to the 49.8-metre Homewhich was delivered in 2017 and is currently listed as a yacht for sale at €35,600,000 (excl. VAT). Heesen Yachts 5000 Hybrid renderingOn board, the 499 GT Project Altea can house 12 guests across six staterooms as well as a crew of nine across five cabins. With exterior design by the Dutch studio, and long-term collaborator with Heesen, Omega Architects, naval architecture for the project is by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Details of her interior design by Italian studio Cristiano Gatto Design are expected to be unveiled soon.

In terms of power, in contrast to her sistership Home's hybrid propulsion system, Project Altea is powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 engines of 1,500HP each, giving her maximum speed of 19.5 knots, with a range of 3,750 nautical miles at 12 knots.
