Hidden pool and Jacuzzi added to superyacht Arctic P

Marine Management Ltd (MML) have completed another refit on explorer superyacht Arctic P. Work included the addition of a hidden pool, jacuzzi and table which create a flush deck when not in use. Arctic P's most recent refit took seven months, and was carried out at the Navantia Shipyard in Cartagena, Spain.

The work saw a complete refit of the bridge, engine control room and galley, the installation of new, and significantly more fuel-efficient propellers, as a well as a major overhaul of the 88-metre explorer yacht's beach club, which now features the new pool and Jacuzzi. At the touch of selected buttons the glass bottom of the pool and teak bottom of the jacuzzi sink into the deck and the spaces then fill with water. On the other side of the beach club the dining table rises from the deck in two sections. The whole deck conversion can be completed in less than five minutes.

With young children often onboard as guests, safety is a key concern of the owner, so MML also created a removable railing around the jacuzzi and pool area.

”Working in partnership with Arctic P’s captain and crew over the years has enabled MML to fully understand their specific requirements for each refit or period in maintenance. We can then do our utmost - through careful planning, preparation and negotiation - to ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimum impact on the yacht’s cruising schedule whilst striving to achieve best value for money for their comprehensive work packages” says Matt Liddell, MML technical manager.
