Horacio Bozzo’s 123m Private Bay concept for Fincantieri Yachts

Written by Charl van Rooy

The two Italian yachting forces Fincantieri Yachts and designer Horacio Bozzo have teamed up to create a new 123-metre superyacht concept code named Private Bay. As the name suggests, the project is designed to deliver a new level of onboard privacy while at the same time allowing even greater access to the natural surroundings.

Exterior guest areas are cleverly cordoned off through the use of large glazed surfaces and separated by several intimate areas to have one feel as if on a much smaller yacht. “The exterior design is characterized by surfaces that intersect creating light reflections with terraces and balconies overlooking the sea,” explains Bozzo.

A key area of the yacht’s design is the open beach club which Bozzo has crafted to feel unlike any other found on similar vessel’s of this size. The low, sloping shape of the hull in this section of the yacht removes the enclosed feeling often experienced in this area, and guests are treated to a near water-level deck laid out with a number of social and sunbathing areas spread out over 160 square metres. Here guests will find an outdoor cinema and large bar overlooking the sea-level pool.

The impressive infinity pool seamlessly blends in with the horizon.
